Andrea is a German-British photographer, photography lecturer and multimedia artist based in London. She studied photography at the Bavarian Institute of Photography in Munich City, Studio Art at the City University of New York and holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Leeds.
Andrea’s portraits, reportages and travel stories have been published in the New Yorker, Fortune, Time, British Airways & Lufthansa magazine, Bombardier, Siemens, Stern, Time, Zeit and Spiegel magazine, among others. Andrea is a member of the laif agency in Cologne.
Since 2022 she has been teaching Media Design courses for IU/ International University IU and has taught digital photojournalism for Oxbridge Academic Program in Oxford & Cambridge from 2010 – 2022.
Andrea’s personal work uses innovative media such as virtual and augmented reality and explores how body and mind navigate between physical and digital worlds, and has been exhibited at Kunsthaus Hamburg, the Royal Academy of Arts London, the Charles Dickens Museum, Coleman Project Space, University of Leeds, and Towner Eastbourne, among others.
